How To Get Your Total m2

  1. Measure each surface. For a wall, measure width x height in metres. For a roof face, measure length x depth in metres.
  2. Add matching surfaces together. Measure every wall, ceiling, roof face or area that will receive coating, then add those m2 values.
  3. Subtract large openings. Using the same method as before, measure doors, windows, skylights, vents or any areas that will not be coated and subtract those areas from the total m2.
  4. Enter the final into the calculator. The 10% allowance accounts for curved or otherwise unaccounted-for surfaces.
